ProCards AI Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ProCards AI ("ProCards", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our mobile application, related services, and any associated websites that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Service").

1) Information we collect

A. Information you provide to us

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address and account credentials (or related authentication information).
  • Profile information. If you add a display name, preferences, or other profile details, we collect that information.
  • Card and collection data. We collect the trading card details you add to the Service, such as names, sets, attributes, notes, photos, purchase and sale information, and other collection metadata you choose to provide.
  • Images and camera/photo library content. We collect images you capture with your camera or select from your photo library. You control whether to grant these permissions.
  • Support communications. If you contact support, we collect the content of your message and related information (such as your email address and device/app details you choose to share).

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information. We may collect information about your device and the way you use the Service, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and identifiers associated with your device or app instance.
  • Log and diagnostic data. We may collect logs and diagnostics to help detect and fix crashes, performance issues, and bugs.
  • Tracking and advertising. ProCards AI does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not use data collected through the Service for targeted advertising.

C. Subscription and purchase information

  • In-app purchases. If you purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive purchase and entitlement status information (for example, whether a subscription is active, trialing, expired, or lifetime), which we use to provide access to subscription features.
  • RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions, paywalls, and entitlement status across devices. RevenueCat may process and store purchase-related data, such as transaction identifiers and device/app identifiers, to provide subscription services.

D. Notifications (if enabled)

If you opt in to push notifications, we may collect and store a device token (e.g., an Expo push token or Apple push token) so we can send notifications to your device. You can disable notifications in your device settings.

ProCards AI does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government- issued identification numbers, precise location data, health information, or biometric identifiers.

2) How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service (including authentication, syncing your collection, scanning and uploading card images, extracting card details using optical character recognition (OCR) and machine-learning models, and enabling related features).
  • Operate and improve the Service, including debugging, analytics, and performance monitoring.
  • Personalize your experience, such as saving settings and preferences.
  • Manage subscriptions and entitlements, including verifying subscription status and providing access to paid features.
  • Communicate with you, including responding to support requests and sending service-related messages (e.g., password reset or account-related notices).
  • Protect the Service, including fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcing our Terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Anonymized and aggregated data.

We may aggregate and anonymize card-level, pricing, and transaction data (including purchase and sale information) so that it can no longer be used to identify you or your account. We use this anonymized data to improve pricing accuracy, build market insights, train models, develop analytics, and enhance the overall Service. We do not sell personal data. Any anonymized or aggregated data is processed in a manner designed to prevent re-identification and cannot reasonably be used to identify individual users or accounts.

3) How we share information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

A. Service providers (processors)

We may share information with vendors and service providers who help us operate the Service, such as:

  • Relevant LLMs
  • Authentication, database, file storage, and back-end infrastructure providers
  • RevenueCat (subscription management and entitlement status)
  • Apple (in-app purchase processing)
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Customer support tools (if used)

When we use machine-learning or large language model providers, they act solely as service providers processing data on our behalf and are not permitted to use personal data for their own purposes.

These providers are permitted to process information on our behalf only for the purposes we authorize.

B. Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • protect the security, rights, and property of ProCards, our users, or others; or
  • investigate and prevent fraud or other illegal activity.

C. Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of company assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

D. With your consent

We may share information for other purposes if you direct us to do so.

E. No sale of personal data

ProCards AI does not sell your personal information.

4) Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify information as required by applicable law and consistent with our operational needs (for example, certain information may persist in backups for a limited period). Upon verified account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, including card images and collection data, except where retention is required by law, for security purposes, or for legitimate business records. Residual data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

5) Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6) Your choices and rights

Account access and updates

You can access and update certain information through the app (where available).

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data. If account deletion is available within the app, follow those steps; otherwise, contact support@procards.ai.

Marketing communications

If we send marketing emails, you can opt out using the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send non-marketing service communications.

Notifications

You can manage push notification permissions in your device settings.

Privacy rights (depending on location)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection/restriction. To exercise these rights, contact support@procards.ai. We may request information to verify your identity. These rights may include, where applicable, rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7) Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support@procards.ai.

8) International transfers

If you access the Service from outside the country where our service providers operate, your information may be processed and stored in other countries, which may have different data protection laws.

9) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting the updated policy in the app or on our website). The "Effective date" above indicates when the policy was last updated.
